[gm card room - lily]
[You find yourselves seated around a table in the middle of a small room. You canโt really perceive any walls, just heavy black velvet curtains on all sides. If you push them aside looking for a way out, you just keep finding more curtains behind them.
There is a crystal ball in the middle of the table and a spread of six large cards arranged around it, currently facedown. Their backs are a plain matte black.
You are aware that powers are all off for card rounds but will be on for the punishment round. You have whatever items are normally on your person.]

ROUND 1
[hand]
Begin.
Your current point bank is: 20 points.
The teams for you to punish this round are PEONY, DAFFODIL, ROSE
Your six-card hand is as follows:
(While the subject matter is clearly gruesome, all card images are heavily stylized cartoons, in blacks and whites.)

Re: [discussion]
I guess that's another Weed we don't need to bother with again. Well, any preferences? If we have the option, it would be nice to void something for Peony. But otherwise I don't have strong opinions.
Re: [discussion]
Re: [discussion]
I'd rather do it right away than risk us not having enough points to do it in the second round.
As for the cards...well, if we assume that the lowest value cards are also the least dangerous, I'd prefer to play those.
Re: [discussion]
Same. Think that's a safe assumption, since they affect fewer people.
Re: [discussion]
Re: [discussion]
Ananke says whatever's less likely to be physical would be better for Rose. And then...
Can I say, for the record, that I hate these choices?
Re: [discussion]
Nothing we pick is going to be good. But minimizing the damage counts for something.

Re: [discussion]
Azdaja's the most afraid of physical damage. Which ones do you think are most likely mental stuff?
Re: [discussion]
If we're just guessing, the beholding card sounds like a hallucination, the smothering sounds physical, and the heart-twisting curse sounds emotional or physical. That's if we're just looking at the single target items, though.
Re: [discussion]
You don't think it's losing an eye? A hallucination does make more sense with the name. I don't really get what the heart twisting one could be if it's physical though. It's a low point, and they wouldn't really make us...physically mess with someone's heart for that, would they?
Re: [discussion]
I don't think losing an eye would be this low on the points scale. That's just the general impression I have of demons, though. If the heart one was worth more points, I would suspect it of being something...more physical. A stab through the heart isn't that bad if you can immediately heal it afterwards. But, again, if it's for low points, then I'm hoping it means that it's some kind of emotional punishment. We have had those before.
Re: [discussion]
Something emotional made the most sense to me too. But I guess...if both the eye and heart cards could be something mental, then maybe we should pick those over the smothering one. I... I don't want to make any of us do that one.

Two cards, right? Sounds like it's gotta be Daffodil and Rose.
[ WE'RE OBVIOUSLY NOT HITTING PEONY ]
Re: [discussion]
... Physical damage scares Azdaja the most. Maybe...maybe the heart-twisting card? Or the hysteria one. Those sound like they could be mental junk, right?
Re: [discussion]
Let's try sticking to the lower points cards. [ then, considering, ] The beholding one doesn't sound mental to you?
Re: [discussion]
It could be losing an eye.
Re: [discussion]
Higher points cards are more likely to hit her, though. Since they affect more people, right?

The Heart-Twisting Curse will be used on Rose.
Void card will purchased for Peony.

[a deck of ordinary cards, a pitcher of blue Kool-aid, and some mugs appear on the table, for them to occupy themslves with until next round.]
