Life's value is in how fleeting it is. Life has value because of death, but that's not the answer. What is the value...

The value of life to the one living it is what they get out of it - what joy or personal fulfillment. To some that's enough, as leaving a legacy isn't important if you're not around to see it yourself.

[That's the way he lives, for the most part.]

For others, the value may be what they leave behind for others. Memories can be recalled and judged. Possessions can be passed on.

Is the value based your view or the view of those around you? Is it both? ...Oh my, I'm making this more complicated than it needs to be.

This one is different. We were asked for the value of life, not our value.

What you said just now - "Life's value is in how fleeting it is." Why can't that be the answer? Its value lies in it being a necessary precursor to death.

I think Angel Devil would probably agree with it... What did he say again? "The value of life is in the living of life"? Which I think is kinda like what you're getting at.

But the whole sequence of death coming after life was pretty important to Blood Fiend...

I guess if we were to smush it all together, we might get something like: "The value of life is in the living of life, but every person has their own idea of what makes life fulfilling. In the end, it's the transience of life that gives death meaning."
