[You're in your barn! That doesn't seem so bad--oh, oh wait, you're in the air.
Your barn, and honestly some of your stuff, is just floating on clouds. You can walk on the clouds too if you want, no one's stopping you. You will not, however, be able to return to the ground, far, far below you, no matter what you do.
At least not til the Ritual is complete.
Floating among everything else is your priest, who seems to have fallen into a deep sleep, and the barn's crystal flower.
After a moment, you hear voices resonating from the crystal flower--the holy beasts, their voices and minds melded as one, call out to you.
It asks your Flock 3 simple questions.]

No, obviously. It's more complicated than that.

. . . my answer is "no." And it's not because I want to protect my foes as much as I want to protect my allies.
[. . .]
It's because I don't like the implications of the question. That the life of one person should be given up to protect the world. I think that's stupid. Sacrifice is just dumb. I'm tired of being asked to do it over and over again in these stupid demon rituals.
So no, I wouldn't leave anyone behind. But understand that my refusal doesn't mean I'd condemn the group, either. It just means I reject the premise of the question and prefer to do things my own way. That I'm the kind of person who makes sure everyone is accounted for, no matter what.
Just like I have always done.

Wow, aren't you a boy scout.
[He means it affectionately.]

Truthfully, I'm selfish and stubborn.
