Ritual 31 - Bluebell

[You're pulled into an enclosure--it simultaneously feels alive and inorganic. You're free to move around, though you can't escape. The walls are both papery and velvet, and the only light emitted is that from six grey sheep that sit silently against one of the walls. They each don a greyed out version of your flock's flower sprouting from one eye, and a grey, dripping candle upon their heads.

As for you, you feel a sting--a papercut. You bleed a tiny drop of blood that stretches thin, like a thread. It somehow penetrates the wall, and if you tug on it, you can tell it's connected to something. What though, you're not sure.]

I think... since we know that effects do not usually last for very many days, perhaps... the emotion?

[ Grimaces at launching straight into the idea that they're gonna go along with this ]

. . . That one can be even more cruel than losing a limb.

I must agree.

It would depend on what, right? Love... fear...?

Though I would not wish for my love to be taken from me.
featherduster: neutral (friends don't point guns at friends)

Do you remember that ritual Teleute ran?

There can be so many unintended consequences from something like that.
heavyliesthecrown: (That was a lot)

Then... a limb? Is that one of the routes we intend to go? Is it possible to just take a pinky? Or little toe. The little toe is practically useless, though it would make walking difficult from being wrapped up.
featherduster: uhoh, bullied, sheepish (that's not what the instructions said...)

Well...

[ WELL? ]

Maybe? If a finger's not a limb, then what is it?
heavyliesthecrown: (Patience is being tried)

That would be the least invasive, then.

[Ugh...]

I wish it could come out of the demons instead, though.

I think I would rather lose a limb...

I know I would.

Pound of flesh . . . least invasive. It can be . . . done cleanly.

Are we sure, though...? It feels as though that might take longer and lead to more suffering...
