GAME 5 - ROSE

This VIP room would probably be welcoming under any other circumstance. As is, it's poorly lit and doesn't appear to have a door. There is a fully stocked cabinet of alcohol in the back as well as a circular couch. There's snacks as well, but nothing really substantial . . . except for maybe the goat cheese balls.

Before you on a table sits a marble plate with dips for placing things. Nearby is a small notecard with instructions written in flourish:

Place a secret in the corresponding spot while speaking the name of the person you want it to apply to on that flock. Point values can be found on the back of each secret stone. The walls will not come down until at least three secrets have been played. Failure to earn at least three points will result in an automatic loss.

Secrets that have been guessed correctly will be on display for all at the after party. ♥

Nearby, in a small dish, your secret stones can be found. A list of names can also be found on a sheet of paper on the table, with a little note on the side: Choose wisely.

You know which one of these people comes from a modern world without magic like mine? I figure it's similar if it's got a concept I recognize.

What do American names tend to sound like? ...there's one's I've heard here that sound Terran, but they couldn't be, for example.

I'm gonna tell you right now that Japanese names don't sound like "Face-Making Devil," so there's only so far we can go based on nicknames, when we all forgot what our names are.

But... John. Stacy. Karen. Bob. Stuff like that.

Those people are Japanese teenagers. The US definitely has influence in Japan, but I don't think they're likely candidates to be blackmailed.

Process of elimination again it is. Tart, Biscuit, Muffin are out. Charon's out. Odin's out. Yata's out. Lyra and Sonata, out. Zenith, out.



That leaves...
Pudding, New Daffodil, Teenage New Lily, Sty...x? Styx. The other Thistle boys, and finally the Thistle Man.

Ah! And as we've concluded to operate with children to be considered invalid...

Impressive. That's a pretty good shot. Do you think we lose anything for guessing wrong?

If guessing right reveals who is who for the secrets you play, guessing wrong...

Well, there's got to be some agony to all this, I'm sure. I wouldn't be surprised if SOMETHING happens. It's too bad we don't get a free roll of the bones like the Clovers.

Anyway, if I had to imagine a punishment for wrong answers... Hm, hm. Maybe who you guessed wrong about finds out what you tried to say about them.

I'm okay with that in this case. It's just guessing and gossip. For this one, they're the victim anyway. It doesn't make them look bad.

By the large thistle do you mean Tyr? The one that also just arrived?

If he's an adult man with arms this wide and a purple collar, yes.

He seemed to know the term "merman" but didn't expect them to actually exist.

...Ah, it doesn't sound... particularly like any of the names Face Making Devil described... Blast.

I'm not sure what you mean. You mean the name Tyr? It was chosen to go with the theme of his flock.

Is it the name of a god someone from Face's world would know?

Tyr is some Nordic god, right? It could be the same world.

I have no idea what you mean by Nordic.

I guess that proves my point that it's likelier to be my world than one like yours.

If our options are limited, then I say go ahead and choose him.

I was attempting to narrow down our options based on if either of them had names that sounded like they were from this 'US' culture mentioned in the secret. Obviously, a longshot... but worth one, all the same.
