[LILY]

[you find yourself whisked away to. . . a small clearing in the midst of a misty wooded area. it is the dead of night, with the moon and stars shining brightly above you. the shadows between the trees broil at you menacingly– it's a different kind of threat than the mist in the woods of the pasture]

[also: you are now dressed as little red riding hood, only in your team colors. yes, this applies to everyone. you also have a cute little wicker basket with (fake) food in it. Enjoy!]

[the new Weed's voice echoes above, as though spoken through a P.A. system]

The night was dark. . . and in the sky, the moon glimmered brightly, like a silver eye watching the world below slumber peacefully.

And yet, at this hour, Little White Lily-- a young adventurer residing with their siblings on the edge of the Great Woods– found themselves lost between the trees. For you see, earlier that day Little White Lily had received notice that their grandmother was very, very ill. Fearful for their grandmother's well being, Little White Lily packed up a basket of food and donned their signature cloak, ready to venture into the darkness to care for their beloved matriarch.

But the path to grandmother's house is fraught with danger. Because lurking in these woods, ready to pounce upon the first sign of prey, are creatures of indescribable horribleness. . .

And Little White Lily's adventure is only just beginning.

Well, this is stupid.

[immediately illusions himself back into his normal clothes]

There's absolutely nothing to be gained long term from ever taking the betrayal option.

I always think 'do nothing' should count as a choice in these multiple choice games...

[sighs]

So we trust for all of them and take whatever the injuries are? It doesn't seem like there's much else to do unless we can just walk out of this clearing.

Right, everyone has to know that... like sure, on PAPER betray is the choice, but on paper you don't gotta be neighbors with the other people.

Seriously. Our choices are 'go with a predator' or 'fight it'?

If we have to choose it should be trust, but this is stupid.

Agreed. I just talked with Lupin about how we should be helping each other here. I don't wanna go back on that over some stupid ritual made to fuck with us.

Doin' nothin' in a trust or betray is still a betrayal 'cause you're not trustin'.

Right, like, there's a lot of options between 'sure, let me ride on your back' and 'I roll initiative'.
mykidisthebest: (I'd never go I just want to be invited)

If we could pick that then we'd all just do nothing and go home.

I'm just saying this scenario is railroading us and it's bad storytelling.

The level of injuries with mutual trust are tolerable, and I don't think any flock will leap for betrayal.

None of the flocks naturally and inherently are.

If there's a trick in these rules and options, let's recalibrate, but as written...no.

When video games pull this and try to paint it as a moral choice they get reviewbombed.
