WHO IS DESERVING OF DEATH?

Who deserves to die? The weak and elderly? The young, too pure for this wretched world? A murderer, or his victim, a cruel being? There are many evils in this world, and many who do not deserve its suffering.

Who deserves to die in your eyes?

WHO WOULD YOU MOURN?

Would you mourn a man who's committed many an evil, but benefitted you? An ailing grandmother, alone in her home, but you have never met and will never think about once in your blessed lives.

There are many in this world a pitiful eye will never see.

WOULD YOU JUDGE A LIFE TAKEN WILLINGLY?

Death is a blessing, an escape, for many a mortal. They take their own lives to escape suffering, out of guilt, or a foolish sense of nobility. But in the end, they are no different from a murderer or the murdered. What then, was the point?

Can you see a reason to do it? Would you take your own?

You curse death, you fear death, you spit in my eyes. Yet out of anger, out of foolishness, mortals take lives with their own hands. For vengeance, for survival, for love, countless sins are committed by your hands.

So I ask you, what man would you look at and kill yourself?

Religion I grew up with. Fall of Man happened 'cause a serpent entered the Garden of Eden and talked the First Woman into take and eat a fruit from a tree God said not to take and eat from. Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. She then shared it with the First Man, and when God found out, He kicked them both outta Eden to wander the Earth in Sin and Sufferin'.

So probably not the same, but considerin' Blue's all dead and now a snake's in control of Death...? Yeah, gonna say they got duped by a serpent.

They are, but the previous demon used riddles as a vehicle to target; to wound or kill. I have no illusions that this one won't try the same.

[casts his eyes towards the shadowy form, considering, then takes out, of all things, an ordinary notebook from Red's shop]

That thing isn't Death, after all. Or so I've been led to believe. In which case, certainly Death would prefer someone with delusions of grandeur to meet an untimely end?

Pretty sure Death doesn't have a preference, but she would make it known that death's inevitable for everyone. 'Specially creatures stupid enough to think they can cheat her so easily.

[Charon beckons everyone into a circle -- so the middle is shielded from both Death/the snake's gaze and the flower they're stuck to -- and holds out a note:

Snake tempted Bluebell to eat poison. I have a piece of it.

Poison and blood opens the way. Modified sigil; a door from death back to life. I have others' blood if we wish not to use ours, but ours may be most effective.

We can attempt to call Bluebell back through, while death and the demon's attention is on this.]
