You find yourselves in a room that's like an empty circus ring, smaller than the Big Top that you were just previously in. The stands surrounding it are completely empty and, for some reason, you cannot exit the tent. In the center, a magician's box dangles from the ceiling by a chain, with more chains winding around it and locking it shut tight. It dangles high above your heads, just out of reach. Instinctively, you know someone is in there.

Underneath the box is a small, circular table with a magic 8-ball sitting there. Just by looking at it, you all know that if you ask it a yes or no question, it will respond truthfully. You can only ask it up to three questions, though, and it takes a moment to reset.

Although the demon is not immediately visible, you can still feel its presence lurking about . . .

I think I see a way to immediately narrow things.

"Are you from the warm-colored side of the flock color spectrum?"

Then we could use our disputes or alliances for the second question -- depending on the answer to the first -- to get it down to two at worst, hopefully one.

That's pretty close to what I was thinking. It's the quickest way to narrow it down.

Okay, then we need to be ready with a question for either one. Maybe "Are you human" for Rose, and..."Are you a carnivore" for Daffodil? Is Muffin a carnivore?
