[card round rules - known ic]

PUNISHMENT CARDS:
  • For each card round, your team receives a hand of six Punishment Cards. Each Punishment Card holds a hint to the punishment it will give, an indication of how many people it will affect, and an indication of how many points it is worth.
  • Every team begins with a bank of 20 points by default. They gain points by playing cards on others, and lose points by having cards played on them (e.g. if Daffodil plays a 4-point Punishment Card on Clover, then Daffodil will gain 4 points and Clover will lose 4).
  • Each card round, your team will be required to choose who to punish from three other teams. You are NOT ALLOWED to play your own Punishment Cards on yourselves.
  • You must play a minimum of TWO cards per round from your hand, on a minimum of TWO teams. You may play a maximum of FOUR cards per round.
  • If a round ends and a team has not played the minimum requirement for the round, the gamerunner will RNG FOUR cards from your hand, and play them on your selection of teams at random.

OPTIONAL CARDS:
  • Teams may also choose to spend points and purchase the following:
    • SHUFFLE - COSTS 5 POINTS - replace 3 Punishment Cards of your choice in your current hand with new ones.
    • SUPPORT - COSTS 15 POINTS - adds 10 points to the bank of another team you choose, during the current round.
    • VOID - COSTS 15 POINTS - negates one Punishment Card placed on another team of your choice. This will be picked from the cards of LOWEST point value played upon them that round.
  • You may only purchase each type of Optional Card once per round (so maximum 1 Shuffle, 1 Support, 1 Void.) PING ME right away if you play either Shuffle or Support since they will take effect immediately! Void can be played with your punishment card turn-in and will be taken into account while sorting punishments.
  • Teams may go into the negatives from having Punishment Cards played on them, but not from buying Optional Cards. So if you start a round with only 5 points, you can purchase SHUFFLE, but not SUPPORT or VOID. If you start with less than 5 points, you can’t purchase Optional Cards at all.

OTHER:
  • When you have locked in your choices, post them under Turn In and ping me in #game-alerts. You are OOCly free to go after that, as results won’t be up until a couple of hours after turn in. Just note the start time for the next round!
  • Teams ICly are stuck in their rooms until all card rounds are over. Teams will also not learn what punishments are in detail, until the card rounds are over and the punishment round begins.
  • If you do anything crazy and out of bounds ping me. I will try to be around for the entirety of each card round, but I do have some RL stuff I may need to take care of as well so I may respond a little slower if I'm on mobile.
  • One winner will be determined by the card rounds! The team with the highest total point bank at the end takes this win slot.
  • In the punishment round, you will have to enact the punishments you played on other teams with your own hands. Up to three additional winners will be determined based on your enthusiasm, commitment and creativity regarding the punishments.
